Seera (seera.cc) is a free CV builder. This page says plainly what we keep about you, what we never see, and what we plan to do next. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@seera.cc.
Your CV stays in your browser
Everything you type into the builder is saved in your own browser's storage on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data, or using the Clear all button, deletes it.
PDF files are generated on your device.
What we store when you create an account
An account is optional and only needed for the AI features. If you create one, we store: your name (if you give it, or as provided by Google), your email address (or mobile number, when phone sign-in launches), your interface language, the date you joined, the dates you sign in, and the version of this notice you accepted.
If you tick the job-matching box at sign-up, we also store that choice and when you made it.
We do not store passwords, because there are none: you sign in with a one-time code or through Google. Signing in with Google gives Seera only your verified email, name, and profile picture; it gives no access to your Gmail, Drive, or contacts.
Why we store it, and what comes next
We use your account details to let you sign in, to prevent abuse of the free AI features, and to email you about Seera.
We are building a service that helps people find jobs that fit their CV. If you opted in, we will contact you when it launches. Storing or sharing your actual CV with employers will always require a separate, explicit yes from you at that time. Opting in today does not give us your CV.
AI features
When you use AI writing, CV optimization, or the AI coach, the text you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to be processed and the result is returned to your browser. Seera does not keep a copy. Under Anthropic's API terms this content is not used to train their models.
Do not include information in your CV that you would not give to an employer.
Cookies and visit statistics
We use a small number of essential cookies: one that keeps you signed in (or, for guests, a random id that counts the daily AI allowance and identifies no one), a short-lived one while you verify a sign-in code, and one that remembers your language. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to anyone.
To understand how Seera is used we count page views: the page, the country and city the visit came from, the device and browser type, the referring site, and the time. Your IP address is not stored; it is replaced by a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. Vercel, our host, provides an aggregated view of the same statistics.
Who processes data for us
Vercel hosts the website and stores account records. Resend delivers sign-in emails. Anthropic processes AI requests. Each receives only what it needs for that job.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your job-matching opt-in, or have your account record deleted. Email hello@seera.cc from the address on your account and we will act within 30 days. We handle personal data in line with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
Changes
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and ask you to accept the new notice the next time you sign in.
